Climate change isn’t just a problem for the polar bears, it is endangering our beloved coffee beans. Rising temperatures in coffee growing regions are causing the fruit of coffee trees to ripen too quickly, not fully allowing the beans inside to develop all their wonderful flavors and aromas. This ultimately depletes the quality of the brewed cup of coffee. In fact 68% of coffee drinkers now add cream and sugar to their morning brew to mask the bitterness. We needed to make a change! Our molecular coffee is reconstructed to the full flavor profile of a slow ripen bean, eliminating bitterness and harsh acids.

A MORE SUSTAINABLE CUP

Farmers are doing their best to continue cultivating a quality cup of coffee for their customers, but unfortunately that means moving their farms uphill into cooler growing regions. Up-farming and the expansion of coffee farming is now responsible for nearly 250,000 acres of deforestation a year. Other factors such as population expansion, leaf rust and rising demands are putting pressure on farmers to keep increasing production. We want to relieve the demand for the bean, save the environment and deliver the most sustainable cup of coffee!

WAYS TO SUPPORT THE ENVIRONMENT

WHILE ENJOYING COFFEE:

  • Drink from a re-usable coffee cup. Help eliminate single use plastics and Styrofoam

  • Compost your coffee grounds, they are an excellent source of nitrogren

  • Buy shade grown, organic and/or Rainforest Alliance coffee beans. They will not only be great coffees, but support the environment through sustainability programs and rigorous compliance standards

  • Drink ATOMO!
